Speak out for Bathurst Quay waterfront renewal
Bathurst Quay Revitalization Sketch (Canada Malting silos site)
After two and a half years of collaboration by community members and the City, the neighbourhood plan for Bathurst Quay is on its way to City Council for approval. But first, it must get the green light by the Toronto and East York Community Council on Tuesday, June 13. This is our chance to show support for this crucial piece of waterfront planning.
Join Waterfront for All at this important meeting City Hall meeting on Tuesday, June 13 and make a deputation. Alternatively, you can submit your written comments to the clerk:
Speak to Community Council
Community Council meetings are open to the public and any person can have five minutes to speak. Advance registration is encouraged but not required. You can sign up by clicking the "Request to Speak" button at the top of the agenda item page.
We don’t know yet the exact timing of the Bathurst Quay item, but a request to the City Clerk's office has been made. If you RSVP below, we will make sure to keep you posted.
Write to City Council
Whether you can make it to the Community Council meeting or not, please make sure to write to City Council and share that you support for continued waterfront renewal – including Bathurst Quay. Simply follow this link and click on "Submit Comments" at the top of the page; a final decision on the Neighbourhood Plan is expected on July 5.
